A small, boutique design agency, Gravity Design has operated for over 25 years. Led by Gerard Brennan, the projects we work on range from corporate communication initiatives, brand development, print and digital campaigns, collateral design and production, direct, packaging, POS, display, signage and websites. Over the years clients have included Southern Dental Industries, Jellis Craig, Red Hill Estate Wines, Hanuman Restaurants, Melbourne Water, RMIT, Ostara, Royal Botanic Gardens and Diversified Exhibitions.

Whilst working together at DDB in Hong Kong Gerard and Sarah delivered projects that included F&B brand design for City of Dreams Casino in Macau, destination marketing campaigns for both City of Dreams and Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland collateral, McDonalds, VW and SE Asia wide campaigns for The Financial Times and Microsoft.

Sarah Brennan joined Gravity in late 2013 and the agency was appointed to provide graphic design and marketing services to the Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival, Public Art Galleries Victoria, Linden Gallery, Portsea Surf Life Saving Club and Guide Dogs Victoria.

As part of the Gravity team Anne Carragher and Jenny Hall are both long time collaborators, providing copywriting and design skills respectively. Anne’s experience covers specialist marketing communication campaign development, public relations and copywriting to leading arts organisations and government bodies in Australia and the UK. Jen Hall, as designer and finished artist has worked with Gravity for over three years and is key member of the team.

As the creative lead at Gravity Gerard has led a team that has developed brands, communication campaigns, collateral and packaging design across a wide range of sectors ranging from entertainment, retail, real estate, finance, hospitality, wine and professional services.

Previous experience includes branding and communication design for key F&B outlets at City of Dreams resort in Macau, Hong Kong Disneyland, Grand Designs Exhibition, The Fitness Show and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Gerard has developed long term, valued relationships with his clients built on respect, a commitment to delivery and providing creative yet practical design solutions. Current clients include the Hanuman group, Murphy Fresh, Nelson Wine, Diversified Exhibitions, Ostara, Guide Dogs Victoria, Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival and BIFB. Gerard lectured into the Masters of Communication at RMIT and is currently a senior lecturer and design leader at the Academy of Design.


With 12+ years in senior marketing roles with multinational companies and a peak body (Breast Cancer Network Australia) and 11+ years in leadership roles within an agency environment, Sarah’s skill base expanded with a wide-ranging, Asia focussed role with the DDB Group, Hong Kong as General Manager.

Her expertise covers brand management, sponsorship, strategic marketing and the development and delivery of complex communication projects across a wide variety of marketing disciplines, including digital. This is complemented with proven team management capabilities leveraging a collaborative leadership style, influencing skills and coaching.

Most recently, as Marketing Director, Diversified Exhibitions, Australia, Sarah led a multi- disciplined team of 23 delivering fully integrated marketing campaigns for 23 yearly events across Australia including the Good Food and Wine Show, Grand Designs Live, Fitness Exhibition, Fine Food.

She lectured into the Masters of Design, RMIT, in Communication Strategy and is currently Director, Gravity Design and Chair of Red Stitch Actors Theatre and Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts.


A marketing communications specialist, Anne Carragher has provided advice, public relations, event management and copywriting to leading arts organisations, government bodies, and corporate companies both in Australia and the United Kingdom.

A former Head of Public Relations for Christie’s Fine Art Auctioneers in Australia, Anne joined their London office to lead publicity for specialist auction sales and events including a major exhibition underpinning a £250 million fund raising campaign for the University of Cambridge. The exhibition assembled hundreds of previously unseen objects from the Museums, Colleges and Libraries of Cambridge.

Anne has provided marketing communications for the Walt Disney Company in Australia, the financial services arm of Zurich in the UK and for Brooks Auctioneers (now Bonhams) for auction sales in London, Geneva, Stuttgart, Paris and Monaco.

Anne works between Australia and the United Kingdom and has more recently run events for several departments of the British Government. Working with Advance, the worldwide organisation that brings together the knowledge of the Australian diaspora, she has also run premium hospitality events for the Victorian Government promoting the State to key stakeholders in the UK.


With a background in art and textile design, Jen transitioned to Graphic Design in 2009 and has worked full time in the industry since graduating for Gravity and on a freelance basis. Jen has enjoyed working with the Gravity team on a diverse range of projects for large and small clients alike, developing strong finished art skills and a robust creative process.
